A former aide of the immediate past governor of Delta state, Dr. Michael Nwoko, on Wednesday felicitated Nigerian Muslim faithful in the celebration of Eid-el Maulud.
In a message to Muslims, Dr. Nwoko called on Nigerians, especially the Muslim community to pray for Nigeria for peace to reign across all sectors of the nation’s economy.
Dr. Nwoko implored the Muslims to remain committed to the ideals of good conduct and continuously pursue national unity and integration for the good of all Nigerians.
Dr. Michael Nwoko, popularly called The Political Oshobe, also called on the Muslim faithful to continuously join hands with good spirited Nigerians to fight the challenges in the nation.
He urged the Nigerian Muslims to use this celebration period to spread the spirit of forgiveness, love and re-ignite the humanity in them for the good of all Nigerians.
He called on Muslims to remain steadfast and continue to pray for the peaceful co-existence of all Nigerians.
He also called for prayers to end the myriads of challenges bedevellng the nation, saying with prayers and unity of purpose Nigeria will overcome its challenges.
Dr. Nwoko insisted that Nigerians have a duty to collectively work for peace and harmony, saying this celebration should be used to show love and kindness to all irrespective of religious affiliation.
He asked for tolerance among various religious adherents, noting that tolerance and forgiveness were the planks upon which a united Nigeria could stand.
While wishing all Muslim faithful across the country a successful celebration, he reiterated his call for oneness, unity and harmonious living among the diverse groups in Nigeria.
