Reno Omokri, the former aide of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has stated that President Muhammadu Buhari should be blamed for the defeat suffered by the Super Eagles of Nigeria in Cameroon.

It would be recalled that the Super Eagles of Nigeria crashed out of the tournament after the Carthage Eagles of Tunisia defeated them on Sunday.

Reacting to the new development, Reno Omokri revealed that Buhari has negative energy which he transferred to the players following the video call he earlier made to the team on Sunday.

Buhari had on in the early hours of Sunday spoke with Coach Augustine Eguavoen, Team Captain Ahmed Musa, President of Nigerian Football Federation, NFF, Amaju Pinnick, and the Nigerian Ambassador to Cameroon, Gen Abayomi Olonisakin (Rtd).

During the call, he charged them to be on top of their game.

Taking to his Instagram page, Reno wrote;

“Buhari is the reason Tunisia defeated Nigeria so disastrously

“Iwobi red card, Iheanacho yellow card. All the time they have been playing this never happened. Why is it that it is the day they spoke to Buhari that these series of unwelcome events rained on us.

“Energies are very contagious. Avoid negative people.”

Before the Super Eagles were defeated, Reno slammed NFF for allowing Buhari to speak with the team.

He wrote;

“Oh oh! Why did NFF allow Buhari speak with the Super Eagles players now! What is wrong with NFF? Have they forgotten what happened after he spoke to Anthony Joshua? Or our Eagles in the last AFCON? Please we want to win.

Who has Buhari spoken to and they won? Our boys need to be focused. They don’t need any distraction. This nonsense must not repeat itself! If Buhari wants to call anybody, let him call Tinubu. Enough is enough! Akoba adaba Olorun ma je a ri 🙏”
