Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Nigeria and across the world as they celebrate this year’s Eid-ul-Mawlid, the commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
In a goodwill message on Friday, Dafinone described the occasion as a time for deep reflection on the life and teachings of the Prophet, which he said continue to embody peace, compassion, tolerance, and unity.
“Eid-ul-Mawlid is a reminder for all of us, regardless of faith, to embrace humility, kindness, and the spirit of brotherhood in our daily lives,” the senator said.
He urged Muslims in Delta Central, Delta State, and across Nigeria to use the season to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the country, while also strengthening the bonds that unite citizens across ethnic and religious divides.
The lawmaker further appealed to Nigerians to show love, extend helping hands to the needy, and promote harmony in their communities, noting that such acts would honour the Prophet’s legacy and contribute to building a stronger, more united nation.
“Once again, I wish all Muslim faithful a joyous and peaceful Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration. May this season bring blessings, peace, and prosperity to our homes, our state, and our dear country,” Dafinone added.
