Senator Abdul’aziz Yari (APC-Zamfara) has condoled with the family of Prof. Abdullahi Shinkafi over the death of a former Secretary to Zamfara State Government (SSG) on Saturday.
NAN reports that Shinkafi, also a former Commissioner for Religious Affairs during the administration of Yari in the state, died on Saturday in Abuja after a brief illness.
Yari, while speaking at the APC stakeholders’ meeting in Talata-Mafara town on Sunday, described Shinkafi’s death as a great loss to the state and Nigeria in general.
“Shinkafi contributed immensely to the development of the state and Nigeria in general.
“May Almighty Allah grant Aljannatul Firdausi to the deceased, forgive his shortcomings and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
“We extend our condolences to the immediate family of the deceased and the people of the state,” he said.
NAN reports that special prayers were offered for the deceased during the meeting.
