Senator Ned Nwoko representing Delta North in the National Assembly has come forward to address the growing rumors and malicious stories circulating about his personal life and marriage.
In a response to inquiry, Senator Nwoko made it clear that there is no issue with his wife, Regina Daniels, and that the allegations and fabricated stories circulating on social media platforms are both false and malicious.
Nwoko expressed dismay with the manner users of social media platforms have been spreading these unfounded rumors against him and his family, urging them to stop creating unnecessary and untrue stories about him. He demanded social media users and other Nigerians to respect the privacy of his family.
Senator Nwoko re-emphasised the need for social media users to stop generating stories and fabricating words which never emanated from him. He said those words were the making of the social media users, saying they are never from him.
The Senator who said he is focused on creating a conducive environment for his constituents and helping to build a better Nigeria, reiterated that those words being portrayed as emanating from him are malicious statements from enemies of his home, who are bent on whipping sentiment against him. He said they are based on hearsay with malicious intent.
Nwoko’s statement underscores the need for responsible journalism and accountability from social media users. He emphasised the importance of distinguishing between fact and fiction when reporting issues on the personal lives of public figures.
He further emphasized that such gossip only serves to disrupt the peace of families and can have lasting consequences on relationships and reputations.
Ned Nwoko’s marriage to Regina Daniels, which has often been the subject of public scrutiny due to their age difference, has been portrayed in various lights by the mainstream media and in various social media platforms.
However, the senator has consistently defended his relationship with his wife, asserting that there is no truth to the rumors that they are facing marital issues. Regina Daniels, a popular Nollywood actress, has also been a target of public attention due to her marriage to Nwoko, with critics questioning their relationship dynamics.
However, Nwoko’s statement serves as a firm response to those who have sought to cause trouble within their marriage.
The senator also addressed the false reports about his alleged relationship with actress Chika Ike. He categorically denied the claim that he was married to Ike, labeling the story as malicious and very uncharitable.
This kind of misinformation, according to Nwoko, is not only hurtful but also unnecessary. He urged the public, especially those on social media platforms, to respect his family and refrain from spreading lies that are not only baseless but also damaging to the individuals involved.
Nwoko’s call for respect and privacy is a plea that resonates with many individuals who are frequently subjected to baseless rumors and gossip, especially those in the public eye.
Public figures often face intense scrutiny, and while they are public personalities, they still deserve the same level of privacy and respect as any other individual. The senator’s statement is a firm reminder of the importance of ethical behavior in media and the need for individuals to be mindful of the impact their words can have on others.
Senator Ned Nwoko’s comments serve as a strong reminder to the media and social media platforms to be more responsible in the way they handle stories about public figures.
By addressing these false claims head-on, Senator Nwoko has sent a clear message that he will not tolerate any further intrusion into his private life. He is calling for an end to the spread of malicious rumors and emphasized that his family deserves the same respect as anyone else.
However, for those who may wish to continue disparaging the hard earned image of the Senator, Nwoko is assuring that the long arm of the law will catch up with them. As the saying goes “Everyday for the thief but one day for the owner,” someone will be made a scapegoat for others to withdraw.
Many people who have been arrested and prosecuted in situations like this have found time to show remorse while cooling off in detention and police custody for defamation and other related issues. For those who are manufacturing words in the Senator’s mouth and sharing them, they may need to produce the opportunity where they had the conversation with Senator Ned Nwoko.
