Senator Ned Nwoko, determined to improve healthcare among the Anioma people, has donated hospital equipment worth millions of Naira to primary healthcare centres in Delta North Senatorial District of Delta state.

The presentation ceremony held at Idumuje-Ugboko in Aniocha North local government area, was in fulfilment of Senator Nwoko’s electoral promises to his constituents.

Senator Nwoko had, in the wake of the 2023 Delta North Senatorial election campaigns, promised to effect a positive change in the healthcare sector, especially in improving the living conditions of rural dwellers.

He honoured his words, presenting sundry medical facilities: beds and trolley stretchers, examination and delivery couches, nursery cot and test tube racks, syringes and stethoscopes, diagnostic sets and sterilizers, dissecting and dressing forceps, among others.

Refrigerators, generating sets and cookers, solar lamps, fire extinguishers, benches and chairs were also made available to complement the medical equipment.

Primary healthcare centres at Aniocha North, Ika North East, Oshimili South and Ndokwa West got the facilities, through the Executive Secretaries of the various local government health authorities.

Officials of the different local government councils, Dr. Chiemeka Samson, Ekakitie Nkemdili, Aruegbe Violet and Ogwu Fidelis received the items from Dr. Micheal Nwoko who represented Senator Ned Nwoko.

The local government executive secretaries on health, all expressed profound gratitude to Senator Ned Nwoko and described his benevolence as needful and exemplary.

The Senator had earlier six months ago hosted a medical outreach across communities in Delta North where he urged “concerted action among health authorities in the country” for increased rural access to health.
