Former Senator Shehu Sani who represented Kaduna central in the last senate has reacted to the N1billion awarded to Nnamdi Kanu against the federal government.
The case was heard in an Umuahia high court where Nnamdi Kanu filed lawsuit against the government of the federation over human rights abuse. He claimed his house was unlawfully invaded by DSS in 2017.
The court presided over by Justice Benson Anya awarded N1billion to Nnamdi Kanu against the federal government over the infringement of his fundamental human rights by the military.
In a judgment delivered Wednesday morning that lasted for an hour, Justice Anya said it was wrong for the military to have invaded his home in Afaraukwu, Umuahia on September 10, 2017, which made him flee the country.
But reacting, Shehu Sani said Nnamdi Kanu has got one billion Naira and that he should remember those that stood by him in his trying time.
