A powerful politician and a former commissioner in the first term of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state, Architect Joseph Ogieh has died.
Ossai Ovie Success, a special assistant to the governor made the post on his verified Facebook page.
He wrote: “Sad, we just lost Architect Joseph Ogeh who was a commissioner under the first tenure of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa .
He is from Isoko and a well respected political leader.
He is a chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party and has held several positions in Delta State.”
Just yesterday he concluded arrangement to host members of the People’s Democratic Party in Isoko today .
As I speak now, food, drinks are ready based on the meeting he was supposed to be hosting today before death came calling.
My condolence to his family and the People of Isoko nation.
Earlier this year, two lawmakers from Isoko North and South representing their constituencies in the Delta state house of assembly, Tim Owhefere and one other died.
