Sequel to the dismissal of the gubernatorial case brought before the Nigeria’s apex court by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege and judgement delivered, Friday, affirming Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP as duly elected governor, the Mayor of Urhoboland, Eshanakpe Israel a.k.a Akpodoro has congratulated Governor Sheriff Oborevwhori describing his opponent as a learner who needed tutorials in politics.

Governor Sheriff Oborevwori

Mayor Akpodoro’s congratulatory message was contained in a speech he delivered in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital at a well attended Niger Delta stakeholders meeting, shortly after the Justices of the Supreme court gave the verdict putting paid to protracted litigation.

Deputy senate president, Ovie Omo-Agege

Mayor Akpodoro, who doubles as a renowned leader of ex-agitators, noted that Omo-Agege’s defeat at the court is a good riddance to bad rubbish.

Describing Rt.Hon. Oborevwori as the best governor any state could have, Mayor Eshanakpe said his victory speaks to his superlative manifesto bellied under the nucleus of M.O.R E. agenda in addition to his honesty, friendship and love he had shown over the years in the course of serving the people of the oil-rich state.

Mayor Akpodoro said that one good turn deserves another as he commended the electorates for their support to the governor who he said represented the positives and willing to serve the people in truth and honesty unlike those he described as political contractors who are hustling about seeking where the next naira and kobo will come from.

He called on the opposition to join hands to build a united progressive state putting the past behind, stressing that politics is gone and its time for serious governance.

“If truly they have the interest of the people at heart, this is when the opposition elements need to collaborate with the Governor Oborevwhori-led PDP administration to move the state to the next level.

The people of Delta state, the Mayor noted, had refused to sell their votes to a contractor, denied the epitome of ‘winner takes all’ their mandate, they refused a family dynasty their votes so as not to be enslaved, hence the court affirmed the wishes of the people in the epoch verdict delivered.

“Deltans are happy with the judgment affirming our governor because that was who we all voted for and not a contractor.

“Omo-Agege should come and learn the game of real politics from those who do not fester in perfidious gimmicks, men and women of integrity, credibility and moral probity.

“The people of our state are wiser and cannot be deceived by any greedy politician who pretends to love them but in actual sense he is a political entrepreneur.

“The political enterprise of the racketeers, contractors, rentseekers, givers and takers of bribe money has crashed in our state long ago and our people have discovered that Governor Oborevwori is the best for them.

“Why would anyone want to foist himself on us the people of Delta State. Omo-Agege was never an alternative anyday.
