A newborn baby was found on the altar of one Holy Fountain Cherubim and Seraphim Church in Oda Road, Akure, Ondo State.
According to reports, members of the church had heard the cry of a baby coming from the church’s altar in the early hours of Wednesday, November 24.
When they search for where the voice was coming from, they found the baby wrapped in green clothes and dumped on the altar by an unknown person.
Confirming the incident, Mrs Funmilayo Odunlami, the spokesperson of the State Police Command revealed that the baby has been handed over to the state Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development for proper care.
