A young lady, Christy Mbene, who lived with her husband in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has run back to her home town in Anambra State complaining that her husband permitted her to cook only okro soup.
An eye witness told Emerald News that Christy said she was tired of staying with her husband in Dubai because her husband did not allow her to cook another soup and also did not allow her to step out of their apartment.
This online medium gathered that Christy and her husband who have married and lived in UAE for the past three years said she could not continue to live with her husband because of what she was passing through in his hands.
Emerald News also gathered that Christy complained bitterly that her wealthy husband does not take care of her abroad as he would not give her money to maintain herself.
Our source said that Christy was disappointed as her husband did not help her mother to settle the debt her mother incurred during her traditional marriage in Anambra State.
Our correspondent learnt that Christy was not happy as the money her mother borrowed for her traditional marriage since three years was yet to be settled as promised by her husband.
Our source said that Christy’s mother always called and cried to her daughter telling her how her fellow women in her village were insulting her because of the unpaid debt.
It was gathered that Christy who is yet to give birth for her husband said that the worst thing she suffered from her husband was that he never allowed her call or pick her mother’s call except if he was not around.
Our source said that Christy who claimed that she did not understand her husband, added that she had no option than to secretly make plans to leave the UAE.
Emerald News gathered that Christy’ s husband got angry over his wife’s tricks and started making arrangements to immediately marry another wife from her state.
