Emerald News gathered that when he asked his wife why, she said that she was sorry for not telling him before using the money.
Our source said that Mr. Okegbu lost his temper and pounced on his wife immediately his wife told him that she used N15.000 out of the money to prepare a fresh fish pepper soup for her brother who visited them from Lagos.
An eye witness told Emerald News that his wife also said that she gave her brother some money as part of his transport fare back to Lagos.
Our source said that he descended on his wife with anger and beat hell out her and brought her bag out for her to go back to her father’s house.

Mrs. Okegbu ran to her mother in-law’s house but she rejected her, insisting that she must get to her father’s house before any settlement.
According to our source, it was Mr. Okegbu’s elder sister who also lives in Asaba that accommodated her with her new born baby for five days and pleaded with her brother to forgive his wife before Mr. Okegbu received his wife back.
An eye witness told Emerald News that Mr. Okegbu explained that he was angry because his wife’s brother did not tell him before visiting them.
He added that he didn’t expect his wife to cook fresh fish pepper soup for him because they had enough food, meat and fish at home for everybody to eat including his brother in-law
