Though Oshiomhole has lost out, see 3 giant politicians he defeated in 2019

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the erstwhile national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has lost his job as the top boss of the APC at the national level, he achieved some great feats for the APC. His fall was due to his overzealousness and too much talking, he made some good successes for the ruling party.

One of the biggest politicians he retired from politics was former senate president, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.  Saraki was a very powerful politician while he was in the senate. His administration fought against President Muhammadu Buhari, preventing him from carrying out certain programmes which were perceived as pro-Northern agenda. Oshiomhole plotted different means to oust him from the senate but Saraki overcame all of them until he defected from the APC to the PDP.

While in PDP he contested to return to the senate from Kwara state. He lost the election very painfully. He had thought that being senate president, he would secure his election back to the senate, he was mistaken. Oshiomhole’s APC defeated him, gave him a technical knockout and threw him out of politics. He would have still been in the senate now but he was overpowered and he fell. That was a big win for Oshiomhole.

Senator Dino Melaye who represented Kogi West in the last senate was also floored by the APC led by Oshiomhole. Dino Melaye, in the last senate, could best be described as a Nollywood senator. He was one of the dramatic, controversial and hilarious but a great attacker of the last administration. Even while he was in the APC, he was against the Buhari’s government. He was practically attacking everything President Buhari did and ridiculed the administration. He also suffered in the hands of security agents of the state.

Police and DSS dealt with him in many ways to the extent that Nigerians were unhappy of the kind of treatment being meted on a senator of the federal republic of Nigeria. Having defected to the PDP after much battle with the APC leadership, he ran again for the Kogi west senate, where he was declared winner but the APC loser, Smart Adeymi took him to court where he lost out to the APC candidate, thus there was no where he could have gone to again.

Former vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, was also roundly defeated by Oshiomhole’s APC. Atiku was a senior member of the APC prior to his defection to the PDP, with the aim of running for the Nigeria’s presidency. He defected to the PDP and won the party’s presidential ticket. In the actual, with the result produced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ariku lost the election President Muhammadu Buhari. Having lost the election, he took the APC, Buhari and the INEC to court but nothing came out of it.
