Dr Michael Nwoko, South-South Zonal Coordinator of the Directorate of Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), has participated in a strategic meeting aimed at strengthening grassroots support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
The inaugural high-level meeting brought together the directorate’s national directors, zonal coordinators and other members to discuss strategies for mobilising support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Nwoko, who disclosed this in a statement, said the meeting focused on strengthening grassroots engagement, promoting unity among party members and developing effective mobilisation strategies across the country.
The Director of the Directorate, Hon. Hafiz Ibrahim Kawu, in his opening remarks, urged members to be proactive, united and committed to grassroots mobilisation, stressing that engagement at the grassroots would be central to the campaign’s efforts.
He also emphasised the directorate’s role in coordinating campaign activities and building support for the president at the state, local government and ward levels.
Speaking at the meeting, Nwoko said Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda had laid a foundation for national development through economic reforms, infrastructure projects and youth and women empowerment initiatives.
He called for greater efforts to communicate the administration’s policies and achievements to Nigerians at the grassroots, describing public engagement as an important component of the re-election campaign.
The meeting also deliberated on early mobilisation, inclusiveness and stronger coordination among party stakeholders across the federation.
Participants reportedly expressed confidence in Kawu’s leadership and pledged their commitment to the campaign council’s mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
Nwoko said the Directorate of Grassroots Engagement and Mobilisation was prepared to begin early engagement activities as the APC commenced preparations for the next presidential election.
The meeting marks part of the campaign council’s efforts to organise its grassroots mobilisation structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
