Two Nigerian senators have been rejoicing over the downfall of Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, erstwhile chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Oshiomhole became chairman of the APC on June 23, 2018 at the convention of the party held at the Eagle Square in Abuja. He was elected. He was elected unopposed by a voice vote from the delegates.
He replaced John Odigie Oyegun who finished his tenure in 2018.
As soon as Oshiomhole emerged as chairman, he became loud, making so much noise.
He fought some members of the party, taking laws mostly into his hands. On most occasions, Oshiomhole would go into decisions that do not have bearing to his office as chairman of the APC. He would attempt imposing decisions on members of the national Assembly.
With his radical style of leadership, many Nigerian senators were heavily against him during the last administration.
He had great issues with former Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Senator Dino Melaye. These former senators suffered greatly in the hands of Oshiomhole and his men. They were heavily hunted and humiliated before Nigerians.
Oshiomhole fought them to the extent that they defected from the APC to PDP. The fight continued until both of them lost out of the race.
Today, barely a year after they lost out, Oshiomhole has lost out also. His exit from the politics of the nation was most pathetic and disdainful.
Sdenator Saraki and Melaye are among the number of Nigerians singing songs and dancing as Oshiomhole is removed from the leadership of the party.
Saraki said he knew that a day would come when Oshiomhole would dance naked in the market place.
Dino Melaye was seen singing and dancing as his usual custom.
