Enugu state governor, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, on Sunday, 6 November, while speaking to members of Ndi Oganiru Enugu, a support group of Senator Ike Ekweremadu, called for prayers and proposed mass for the Senator who is currently facing trial for alleged organ trafficking in the United Kingdom.
Ugwuanyi urged members of the group to book masses to intercede for Ekweremadu and his family, and also embark on private prayers for them in other to overcome this present challenge they are faced with.
As reported by AriseNews, Ugwuanyi stressed that it is pertinent to show love to people in their presence and absence. He consoled the group members, saying “this too will pass away,” and promised the group that they will be stronger in future.
The governor commended the national president of Ndi Oganiru Enugu, Jude Asogwa, and assured members of the group that he will keep them updated with new developments in London, as regards Ekweremadu’s case.
