The Federal Executive Council has decided to approve a 20 per cent increase in salaries for personnel of the Nigeria Police Force.
This report came through a statement issued by Minister of Police Affairs, Muhammad Dingyadi, who disclosed this to State House Correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday December 15.
He however, noted that the upward review is a product of the issues raised during the #EndSARS protests in October 2020, Dingyadi stated that the decision was taken to boost the morale of police personnel across the country.
This recent development will take effect from January 2022.
