National secretary of Urhobo ex-agitators, Gen. Ekokotu Abraham, has congratulated Mayor Israel Eshenakpe aka Akpodoro, over his appointment as patron of the maritime security agency.
On Wednesday, director general of the agency, Cdr Manu D. Yagdah (rtd), announced the appointment of Akpodoro as the patron of the security agency in a letter made available to the former warlord.
According to the agency’s director general, Mayor Akpodoro has demonstrated sufficient patriotism and solidarity for the nation in all his activities particularly in relation to peace and security in the Niger Delta region of the country.
The agency noted that due diligence was observed by the management of the organization, the result of which culminated in the appointment of Mayor Akpodoro as the patron of the organization.
In response to the appointment of Akpodoro as the agency’s patron, General Ekokotu Abraham, in a congratulatory message, said the appointment of Akpodoro was due to his track records as a leader who has fought for the stability of Niger Delta and the nation Nigeria.
He said: “We have confidence that your dispensation will bring transformation to the maritime sector. We pray for more active years for you as you discharge your duty to uplift mankind.”
