The Mayor of Urhobo land and an outstanding ex-militant leader in the Niger Delta region, Eshanakpe Israel, a.k.a Akpodoro, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on his birthday anniversary, thanking God for his and accomplishment.
The Mayor stated this in a special congratulatory message to the President in Abuja, over the weekend saying he specially thank God for the life of the President and the great service he is rendering to humanity and the Nigeria nation.
He described him as a special human that providence has given to “our nation to buy back the Nigerian people from the den of poverty and slavery.”
The Mayor noted that the President is fulfilling a divine mandate for the Nigerian people, saying he is a God sent to Nigerians, a reason he maintained that providence would give him a “long life of accomplishment as he delivers his stewardship to Nigerians.”
“Right from the point the then Senator Tinubu birthed democracy in the world’s most populous nation, Nigeria, we came to terms that providence has a need for him to exit our nation from the woods of poverty of leadership bedeviling this nation.
“First, by divine providence, he was thrusted up to become the governor of Lagos State where he demonstrated his superlative skills, ingenious capacity for human growth and development with excellent ideas on how to turn a forest into one of the most developed cities in the world.
He sped up the pace of development in Lagos State and today, that state is a model in both human and material well-being.
“As if that was not enough, God crowned him to be the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria where he is scientifically and managerially changing the entire socio-political landscape for the good of the nation thereby birthing a new hope for the nation.
Tinubu is spiking up the spirit of nationalism and solidarity among Nigerians through his leadership, depicting God sent leader. May God grant him long life in superlative health condition,” the Mayor of Urhoboland decreed.
In same vein, the Mayor commended the bravery exuded by the traditional ruler of Ewu kingdom, HRM Clement Ikolo, for surrendering himself to the police subsequent upon his listing among the wanted assailants who the military named as being responsible for the killing of 17 soldiers a fortnight ago in Okuama community, Ughelli South, Delta State South-South Nigeria.
The Mayor noted that the king has not assumed his full monarchy due to minor disagreement by a few of his people in the kingdom and being a peace loving personality, he is needed to ensure and bring all of his subjects to a roundtable to lay to rest desenting voices arising from his ascension to the throne, a process he said was ongoing when Okuama crisis broke out.
Specifically, Mayor Akpodoro absolved the King of any involvement in the affairs of Okuama which he maintained is a community under Ewu Kingdom as he cautioned against vicarious treatment of the traditional leader in the weighty issue of the killing of 17 soldiers so as not to reduce it to triviality.
He urged the military to deploy workable intelligence in the tracking of the culprits and leave the innocent ones out of it so that the pursuit by the army of the assailants would maintain its credibility.
“The king who has not settled down on the throne couldn’t have had hands in what happened in Okuama while he hasn’t been accepted by his people.
“As it is right now, HRM Ikolo has been ruling from outside Ewu-Urhobo Kingdom and he just returned from overseas a trip he embarked shortly after being crowned a king.
“To the best of my knowledge, this man should be spared the embarrassment of linking him with ignoble characters who have no respect for human lives. Our king is innocent of the allegation against him.
“He has demonstrated his innocence by surrendering himself to the authority and deserves a royal respect and honour except his innocence is proven otherwise,” Akpodoro stated, stressing that, the governor who issued him staff of office can as well vouch for HRM Ikolo.
