The news and video making the round on how a 21 year old girl, Chidimma Ojukwu killed her man friend, Mr. Usifo Ataga, the CEO, Super TV has been described as a consequence of over-pampering of children by many parents.
Emerald News reports that some people who reacted to the development said that pampering of children in the present dispensation has contributed to ill manners in the lives of children and youths.
Many who spoke to our reporter blamed parents for not inculcating morals and right attitudes in their children at home.
Some said that many parents have failed in showing good examples to their children as some parents engage themselves in amorous moves while their children watch and learn from them.
In her contribution, Mrs. Josephine Irene told Emerald News that women should pray for their husbands as many of them have decided to behave like animals.
“I warn my fellow women to sit up and live a holy life and as well as pray feverntly for their husbands not to fall into the trap of the likes of Chidimma because there are many of them out there.”
Also, Mrs. Philo Okafor in her response said that the universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and other institutions of higher learning have become the habitation of evil people where innocent children are put into drugs, cultism, prostitions, stealing and all what may.
Mrs. Okafor added that some parents who have tried to inculcate morals in their kids at times end up crying over them while wondering the sources of their children’s bad character.
Also Deaconess Franca Egwu in her contribution said that some lecturers in the higher institutions contribute to the misbehaviour of their students as some of them force the students to sleep with them while threatening them with failure if they turn down their amorous adventures.
Deaconess Egwu, however, blamed many wealthy men for taking advantage of young children and youths because of the money they promise them.
“Men should try and discipline themselves. Most of them behave like animals who do not care who they want to sleep with.
“What baffles me is that these men have wives, some have more than one, yet, they look at small children they will be using to satisfy their senseless sexual urge,” she added.
Others who spoke on the ground of anonymity said that Chidimma’ s case should teach these men lesson to learn how to discipline themselves”.
Others advised women and men to buckle up in the fear of God stating that those that fear God cannot be caught in such a mess.
