In Accra, capital city of Ghana , a veteran journalist Kwesi Pratt Jr. and former state executive Nana Akomea engaged in a sharp public disagreement over the strategy and outlook for Ghana’s 2028 general elections.
The clash unfolded during a televised discussion on national politics, where the two commentators offered contrasting views on how the country’s major political parties should position themselves for future success.
Kwesi Pratt Jr., a well-known media editor and political commentator, raised criticisms about the direction of political forecasting and party tactics, urging broader dialogue on democratic participation and accountability.
Nana Akomea, who previously served as Managing Director of the State Transport Company and has been active in political circles, challenged Pratt’s assessments and defended the approaches being considered within party structures as Ghana prepares for the next electoral cycle.
The exchange highlighted deeper debates within Ghana’s political landscape about unity, strategy and public engagement as influential figures seek to shape the narrative leading into the 2028 race.
