One of the major attributes of Lagos is its endless traffic which road users endure daily.
However, many individuals have on several occasions narrated stories of how frustrating this could be.
More so, there has been a spike in traffic robbery on Lagos roads, with individuals calling on the government to look into the issue.
In a video shared online, a TVC journalist, Tope Mark Odigie, narrated her ordeal.
She said that the incident happened around 7:30 pm on Friday, 12 November, while she was going home from an event at Eko Hotel, at the VI area in Lagos state.
While stating her experience, she said: ”I just finished an event at Eko hotel this evening and I was driving home. On the Ketu bridge from the third mainland, the bridge that takes you towards 7up, I got robbed and they damaged my car.
”Some guys attacked me, they were hitting on the car and were asking me to whine down. As they were hitting, they broke the side mirror, which caused a little bit of injury on my hand.
”I was just shaking, I decided to drive first to TVC to calm down before I head back home.
”I reported this issue on Wednesday, I reported that someone got robbed at that same place, I said it on the show, I said we need to have more security presence there.
”There were police people there, but they were by the van, the robbery took place after the van. They were young boys, they came to the side of the car.
”I know that it was God, I was able to just move left and right. I’m going to head back home, try and dust off all the glass from my body, but we can’t afford to do this.
”Everywhere there is traffic there is a risk to our lives, and the government needs to do more than this.”
