All is set for the second coronation anniversary celebration of the Olu of Warri, HRM Ogiame Atuwatse 111.
The Ologbotsere of Warri kingdom and Chairman of the Warri Council of Chiefs, Chief Oma Eyewuoma, disclosed this yesterday at a news conference at the Olu’s palace in Warri, Delta State.
He said the 10-day programme, which begins tomorrow, would not only enable the Itsekiri to celebrate, but would also allow them to appraise how much progress had been made in the past year.
The Ologbotsere, flanked by other chiefs, including Gabriel Awala, Solomon Areyenka and Dr. Eugene Ikomi, said like it is all over the world, successes and challenges have been recorded in the kingdom.
He listed activities to mark the anniversary to include praise day, conferment of chieftaincy titles, homage paying, Ghigho Aghofen (palace watch), as well as a special thanksgiving service scheduled for the last day, August 27
