President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Dr. Francis Wale Oke, on Sunday said that the Pentecostal Fellowship in Nigeria recognise Pastor William Kumuyi, the General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry as “our leader, father and icon”.
Dr. Wale Oke, who led members of the PFN executive to the Abuja headquarters church of the Deeper Life Bible Church on Sunday where Pastor Kumuyi held a global Sunday service, said the body appreciates the grace of God in the life of Pastor Kumuyi.
The PFN president told the global audience who connected to the Abuja from many countries of the world, that the visit was part of the birthday celebration of the pastor who clocked 80 on June 6, 2021.
He told the church that he sent a congratulatory message to Kumuyi and planned visiting him with his executive but the pastor called him and told him he would be in Abuja for the ongoing international crusade.
He said his visit to the Abuja church was to celebrate with the General Superintendent and all members of the church on the occasion of the 80th birthday of the pastor.
Dr. Wale Oke acknowledged the undiluted humility of Kumuyi just as he prayed for the pastor to finish his ministry gloriously. He told the global audience that church of Christ is one united body, noting that Jesus is the message of the church.
He said Jesus died on the cross and rose to give Christians a brand new life. He said Pastor Kumuyi has preached holiness without compromise for years.
He told the global audience that it was during one of messages of the General Superintendent that God called him to ministry
He said Kumuyi has been consistent in his teachings on holiness and purity, just ad he acknowledged that purity and perfection are possibilities as far as the word of God has made provision for it
He said preachers who say Christians cannot be upright and perfect are wrong. He said Kumuyi has not only taught it he has demonstrated it. He added that Kumuyi is a man of impeccable integrity.
Following his integrity, Dr. Wale Oke said Kumuyi has been a shining inspiration “to many of us.” He noted that Christians should be followers who hold fast to the he faith. He said Kumuyi eminently qualified to be followed.
For those who have not surrendered their lives to Christ, Dr. Oke said hell is the end of life without Christ, hence he added: “If you die without Christ you will not only see the geography of hell but you will see the location of hell.”
