The governor of Rivers state and presidential aspirant on the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP’s platform, has said he will remain in the party even if he fails to grab the party’s sole ticket.
Wike is one of the leading presidential aspirants of the main opposition party and from all indications, the battle is between him and Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President.
All is set for the party’s presidential primary election and national convention inside the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja.
And as the aspirants took turns addressing the special delegates, Wike, once again declared his love for the main opposition party, vowing that he is going nowhere no matter the outcome of the primaries.
“I want to speak to you on two subjects. One is the party. Let me vow, today, anybody who emerges here, I’ll support the person to the fullest.
“I’ll support the person to the fullest because I’m a committed party person. Because I love this party. Because since 1998 I’ve been in this party. I work for this party. I’m not going anywhere. This is my party,” he said.
