Wizkid Bags 3 awards at AFRIMA 2021

Popular Nigerian music star, Wizkid secured 3 awards at the recent All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) 2021.

It would be recalled that the event was held in Lagos on Sunday night.

During the award, the music star whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun Ibrahim was nominated in six award categories:
i. Artiste of the Year in Africa
ii. Best Male Artist in Western Africa
iii. Album of the Year
iv. Best African Collab
v. Song of the Year and Best Duo in African R&B.

However, Wizkid won three AFRIMA awards.

He won an award as the Artiste of Year, while his song, ‘Essence’ with Tems bagged two awards as the Song of the Year and Best African Collaboration.

Meanwhile, the biggest winner at the event was Iba One, a Malian singer, who won five awards.

Best Female Artist Central Africa – Shan L ( Gabon)

Best Female Artist in East Africa – Nikita Kering (Kenya)

Male Artist Central Africa – Fally Ipupa

Best Male Southern Africa – Blaq Diamond (South Africa)

Best Male Artiste Western Africa – Iba One (Mali)
