A governorship aspirant in Zamfara State under the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Sagir Hamida was shot dead by suspected bandits.
He was reportedly killed by bandits at Rijana, along Kaduna-Abuja highway.
According to PREMIUM TIMES, the news of his death was confirmed by Imran Ahmad-Rufai, a political associate to the deceased.
Mr Ahmad-Rufai said the remains of Mr Hamida has been deposited at his residence in Abuja and arrangement for his funeral will be announced soon.
