Dr. Ahmed Sani Kaura, the Zamfara state People’s Democratic Party chairman has died at 62.
PUNCH reports that he died on Wednesday, immediately after he attended a peace meeting organised by the Nigeria Council of Ulamah, Zamfara state chapter.
He was invited to the meeting together with other PDP stakeholders by the Council of Ulamah, where they were to deliberate on how to eradicate political thuggery in the state.
According to a statement by Faruku Ahmed Gusau, the secretary of the party, the chairman immediately developed sickness upon delivering a speech in the meeting, and was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty.
The PDP chieftain died, living behind two wives and six children.
Report has it that the Nigeria Council of Ulamah is currently organizing a sensitisation meeting with all the political parties in the state on how to ensure the peaceful conduct of 2023 general elections.
