Delta North Senatorial District came alive with optimism and renewed hope on Monday as Senator Prince Ned Nwoko commended the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, for the historic groundbreaking ceremony of the flyover project in Agbor Ika South local government area of Delta state.

Speaking on behalf of the people of Delta North, Senator Nwoko described the Governor’s visit as both timely and symbolic, marking a significant step in the transformation agenda of the state government.

“This project is a major step forward for our district,” the Senator declared.

“When completed, it will save lives, ease traffic congestion, improve the movement of people and goods, and boost economic activities across Delta North.”

He noted that the flyover is not merely an infrastructure project but a strategic investment in public safety, economic growth, and urban efficiency.

According to him, the long-awaited development will decongest major traffic corridors, reduce accident risks, and create a more business-friendly environment for residents and investors alike.

Senator Nwoko further commended Governor Oborevwori for his commitment to infrastructural renewal and expressed confidence that other critical projects of regional importance would soon be delivered.

“I am hopeful that the Okpai Power Plant Step-Down Project and the completion of the Ogwashi-Uku Dam will also be delivered soon,” he said, emphasizing that reliable power and water supply are fundamental to sustainable development and improved quality of life for the people.

He described the Governor’s presence as a reassurance that Delta North remains a priority in the state’s development blueprint and reaffirmed his readiness to continue working closely with the state government for the progress of the district.

Senator Nwoko called for unity of purpose between leaders and citizens, stressing that development is best achieved through partnership and shared vision.
“Together, we are building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous Delta North,” he stated.

The event drew community leaders, government officials, and residents who hailed the flyover project as a landmark intervention that signals a new era of accelerated development for the senatorial district.
