The former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has picked the gubernatorial nomination form of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), for the November 6, Anambra governorship election. He also picked an Expression of Interest form.
The event attracted a large number of his supporters including Anambra state government functionaries, high ranking politicians and youths from different spheres of life at the APGA national secretariat in Abuja.
Emerald News gathered that his supporters waited patiently and when he arrived, songs of praises and jubilations were sounding over the air.
Speaking shortly after he picked the forms, Professor Soludo who said picking the forms was a formal indication of his desire to run the gubernatorial race of Anambra, thanked Ndi Anambra for believing in him.
He reminded them that all hands must be on deck as it is the beginning of the processes to achieving success.
In an interview with journalists, some supporters, including the member representing Anambra East and West federal constituency, Hon. Chinedu Obidigwe, the Deputy Speaker, Anambra House of Assembly, Hon. Paschal Agbodike among others, said they chose to support Professor Soludo owing to his pedigree and their desire for continuity and good governance. The train later moved to Professor Soludo’s residence for a grand reception.
