The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday night arrested the former Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano at the Murtala Muhammad International Airport Lagos.
He was arrested at about 8.30pm.
This development is coming hours after Obiano handed over to Charles Soludo, who is the new governor of the state.
He was on his way to Texas, USA when operatives intercepted him.
It can also be recalled that his wife, Osodieme Ebelechukwu was in the news earlier today for fighting with Bianca Ojukwu, wife of former Biafran warlord, Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu.
Obiano has been on the EFCC’s radar for a while now over allegations of fraud and embezzlement.
