Ahead of the governorship election scheduled for March 11, 2023, a group of Peter Obi, BIGTENT who are Deltans, have thrown their weights behind the candidature of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate, Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi for the governorship of the state
The BIGTENT comprising Chief Dr. David Solomon, Director of the BIGTENT, in Diaspora, from Ika ethnic nationality, Prof. Pat Utomi, who is the Chairman of the BIGTENT from Ibusa, and Mr. Billy Ajuefo, also from Ibusa, called on all Obi support groups to join to wrestle power from the ruling Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
These men who are Deltans want to see the good of their state as Gbagi and are ready to support him to present a real challenge to the dominance of the ruling PDP and its main opposition APC.
The Obi support groups otherwise known as OBIDIENTS, should toe the path of the leadership of the BIGTENT who in their wisdom chose the former chairman, Legal Aid Council of Nigeria, due to his unwavering character, integrity and ability to perform to liberate Delta state, to queue behind them.
The OBIDIENTS from Delta should shun partisan politics and support Gbagi, the largest employer of labour in the state, the way the OBIDIENTS supported Obi for president.
As Deltans go to the polls on March 11th to choose a replacement for Ifeanyi Okowa, whose eight-year rule has been sharply criticized for failing to get a grip with the rampaging insecurity and the high cost of living.
Worthy to note is that Gbagi, a renowned Criminologist, has appealed to Deltans particularly the younger voters and the entire church with a message that he is different from his old-guard rivals and wants to bring real change to Delta state.
