President Muhammadu Buhari has released $318million dollars for the Lagos to Ibadan rail line.
Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi gave the figure in a tweet he released on Friday night.
Amaechi also said beside the $318million released by the federal government, the Nigerian partners in the railway construction have also released $1.6billion dollars for the project.
He said by October 2020, it is hoped that another $5.3billion dollars will be released to commence and complete the construction of Ibadan to Kano segment of the rail line.
