Prominent All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Chief Emma Ejiofor, Ph.D., has called for renewed unity within the APC Delta North chapter and a firm commitment to the creation of Anioma State.
He described the call for Anioma state as a historic mission that must not be derailed by internal distractions or political hesitation.
Speaking at a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held at Mount Ned, Idumuje-Ugboko, Ejiofor emphasized the need for structure, discipline, and proper engagement across the party.
He particularly addressed recent defectors and prospective members, urging them to follow due process through their ward chairmen.
“The only legitimate way to become a member of our party is through proper registration at the ward level,” he said. “Any alternative advice should be regarded with skepticism.”
Chief Ejiofor, known for his grassroots influence and commitment to the party’s ideals, reinforced the APC’s position as a rules-based progressive platform. He stressed that unity and order are essential as the party builds momentum in Delta North.
The centerpiece of his address, however, was a passionate advocacy for the creation of Anioma State, a long-standing aspiration of the Anioma people.
Ejiofor did not mince words in calling on all elected representatives and stakeholders to throw their full support behind the cause.
“We are fully prepared to defend and realize our long-awaited state creation,” he declared.
“Our representatives must understand that their most effective contribution is to stand united in support of the Anioma State creation.”
Ejiofor warned that any lawmaker who hesitates to endorse or sign documentation in support of Anioma State risks recall, adding that the people will not tolerate betrayal on an issue of such historic importance.
He revealed that the movement already enjoys the support of 75 serving senators, with more endorsements expected in the coming weeks.
He dismissed internal dissent as “unsubstantiated and irrelevant,” emphasizing that the support of the people and the legislative momentum speak louder than isolated opposition.
The meeting ended with broad reaffirmation from stakeholders to work hand-in-hand toward strengthening the APC in Delta North and actualizing Anioma State—a goal Chief Ejiofor described as “non-negotiable.”
