The Minority Leader of the 9th House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Ndudi Elumelu, OON, has congratulated the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, Delta State, and Nigerians at large on the occasion of this year’s Christmas, urging them to use the period to rekindle their love for one another as well as strengthen their trust in God’s divine intervention in the affairs of humanity.
In a Yuletide message on Thursday, December 25, 2025, Rt. Hon. Elumelu noted that Christmas, the celebration of the birth of the Saviour, Jesus Christ, reminds mankind of God’s unfailing love and provision of eternal solution to the challenges of life, including the problems we face as a people.
He stressed that the essence of Christmas is rooted in love, hope, peace and salvation for humanity and urged the people to consciously imbibe these virtues in their daily lives.
According to Elumelu, “love remains the key to lasting peace, forbearance, mutual understanding, sharing and compassion which are the fundamentals of the healthy, stable, safe and thriving society we all yearn for”.
Elumelu stated that meaningful development cannot occur where rancour, hatred and division prevail, adding that societies grow and flourish when people choose forbearance and dialogue over conflict, and generosity over selfishness. He therefore encouraged citizens to embrace the spirit of giving, tolerance and peaceful coexistence, noting that such is the only way to move the nation forward.
The former Minority Leader assured the people of Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency of his commitment to the welfare and the development of the area, emphasizing that he will continue to make the overall interest of the people the central focus of all his activities.
Elumelu used the opportunity to express appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, for their commitment to the people through the implementation of people-oriented projects and programmes in Delta State and across the nation.
He urged Nigerians to continue to pray for the nation and to support the APC-led administration, so that the country will maximally benefit from the policies and programmes of the administration.
Elumelu wished the people a merry Christmas celebration, praying that the joy of the season will continue to overflow in their lives.
