COVID-19: Delta speaks on releasing results, showcasing patients at isolation centres

With a total of 388 successfully treated and discharged Coronavirus patients in Delta state, it shows there is no cause for alarm. Getting infected is not a death sentence.

There is a total of 1140 confirmed cases in Delta state. While 727 are active cases, 388 have been discharged, 25 are reported dead.

Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, wife, Edith, secretary to the state government, Chiedu Ebie, and commissioner for information, Charles Aniagwu are among the personalities that have been infected by the virus in the state.

Although there are other prominent persons who are infected, many do not want to disclose their status publicly for reasons best known to them.

While there is high possibility of recovery with minimal deaths, the people of Delta must remain careful and continue maintaining the health protocols put in place by the NCDC.

The figure in Delta is rising, a development which should make the people of the state adhere to the established prevention strategies.
