BOLD MOVEMENT CHARGES IJAW POLITICIANS TO PRESENT SINGLE CANDIDATE FOR DELTA GOVERNORSHIP 2023

An Ijaw political pressure group known as the Bold Movement has charged Ijaw politicians and leaders of thought in Delta State to support the Group’s campaign for an Ijaw Governor that will occupy the Dennis Osadebey House, Asaba for a better Delta State come 2023.

The Bold Movement gave the charge on Sunday in Warri in a statement made available to newsmen by its social media Publicity Secretary, Mr Ebipade Fedeke.

Sheriff MULADE, ready to sacrifice guber ambition to pave way for one Ijaw aspirant

The statement reveals that Chief Mulade Sheriff, sponsor of the Bold Movement,  an Ijaw traditional High Chief from Gbaramatu Kingdom in Warri South West LGA of Delta State, is ready to sacrifice his governorship ambition so that the Ijaws can present one candidate towards actualizing the dream of producing the next governor of Delta state.

According to the release, the Coordinator of Bold Movement, Chief Mulade Sheriff has embarked on constructive engagement with other ethnic groups to appeal for their support for a fair and equitable power rotation in Delta State.

It therefore urges Ijaw politicians to key into the vision of Bold Movement as no single ethnic group in the State has the monopoly of producing the Governor.

The statement called on all Ijaw people to support the Bold Movement, irrespective of their party affiliations, so that Ijaw can produce a governor for Delta state that will better their chances of winning elections in the leading political parties, the PDP and APC.

The group commended Ijaw opinion leader, Alaowei Broderick Bozimor, for facilitating the gathering of critical stakeholders from Patani, Bomadi, Burutu, Warri South West, Warri South and Warri North Local Government Areas to brainstorm and strategize on how to constructively engage and negotiate with other ethnic groups across the state in a bid to get their support for an Ijaw candidacy, come 2023.

It says Bold Movement is leading the advocacy and engaging stakeholders in the state, stressing that the Ijaws who want to produce the Delta state governor in 2023 should step out boldly to be part of the vision.
