In view of the ongoing consultation for the chairmanship of Uwvie local government area in the forthcoming elections, Director General of Ofoni Support Assembly, Comrade Henry Omodjota, has said that Chief Anthony Ofoni is the best aspirant to fly the flag of the PDP in the local government elections.

Comrade Omodjota while briefing newsmen in Effurun, said Chief Ofoni is a seasoned and grassroot politician and a community mobiliser in Uwvie local government area of Delta state.

According to him, Chief Ofoni has made significant contributions to the growth and well being of the people of Uwvie and he is coming to the chairmanship office to continue the good work he started as a community mobiliser.

He explained that Chief Ofoni is a man with a large heart, he has good programmes and plans for the good people of the local government area.

He said: “Chief Ofoni has good dreams for the development of the local government. He is coming to the local government with people oriented and an open door policy for the good of Uwvie people. I have worked with him and I know him. I cannot support somebody I do not know or somebody I know that does not have vision and programmes for our people.”

Comrade Omodjota is insisting that Chief Ofoni is the right man for the job, noting that before the expiration of the three year tenure, the people of Uwvie will have cause to testify that their votes were not wasted.
