A 27-year-old man identified as Jeffrey Emekume has been rescued from kidnappers by crack team of police operatives in Sapele, Delta state.
In a statement by Bright Edafe, public relations officer of Delta state police command, on the 8th of May, the divisional police officer (Sapele Division) CSP Harrison Nwabuisi got the information about the kidnap of Jeffrey Emekume which happened along Eku Abraka road.
Jeffrey was kidnapped with his sky blue Lexus jeep which made a U-turn towards Sapele road.
The DPO (Sapele Division) on hearing this, immediately mobilized and led the crack team police operatives into the bush where the kidnappers were suspected to have headed to.
The kidnappers who could not withstand the relentless effort of the police abandoned their victim and fled.
Jeffrey Emekume was rescued and his car was recovered as well. The police said that effort is still ongoing to track down and arrest the fleeing suspects.
