Two suspected criminals are currently on the run leaving behind a locally made gun and live cartridge in a tricycle.
The patrol team, B division Warri while on patrol on May 7, 2021, at about 10:40pm around Okumagba Estate, sighted a tricycle with two occupants.
On sighting the patrol team, the occupants put off the headlight of the tricycle which was initially on. The police suspected such action and moved closer to the tricycle for closer observation.
In a statement signed by Delta police public relations officer, Edafe Bright, on getting closer to the tricycle they observed that the occupants have successfully made their way out of the tricycle and may have run into a nearby bush.
According to the police image maker, after a search was conducted in the tricycle, a locally made gun and live cartridge were found. The tricycle has been impounded by the police.
The police assured that the suspects would be brought to book as there is ongoing manhunt to arrest them.
