The Honourable Commissioner for Transport, Delta State, Mr. Onoriode Agofure, has expressed satisfaction with the increasing patronage at the newly commissioned Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in Asaba and Warri, describing it as evidence of the public’s acceptance of the affordable and environmentally friendly fuel alternative.
According to the Commissioner, the growing number of customers patronizing the stations daily demonstrates the positive impact of the initiative on residents and transport operators seeking relief from the high cost of conventional fuels.
“The response from residents has been very encouraging. The increasing number of customers patronizing these stations daily confirms that CNG is providing the affordable alternative we envisioned,” Agofure stated.
He commended Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Francis Oborevwori for his visionary leadership and acknowledged NIPCO Gas Limited for its partnership and timely delivery of the project.
Agofure reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment to initiatives that will reduce transportation costs, promote clean energy, and improve the welfare of Deltans.
