The Delta State Commissioner for Transport, Mr. Onoriode Agofure, alongside the Ministry’s Acting Permanent Secretary, Engr. Victor Omoniyi, and the Director of Vehicle Inspection (VIO), Engr. Vincent Ehiwario, led a team to inspect the renovated Vehicle Inspection Office in Ogwashi-Uku.
Mr. Agofure expressed satisfaction with the quality of work done at the facility. He noted that the project aligns with the MORE Agenda of the state governor, aimed at enhancing socio-economic development and improving citizens’ welfare.
The Commissioner emphasized the ministry’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, efficient, and integrated transport infrastructure to drive economic growth across Delta State.
He also urged the staff to take ownership of the renovated building by ensuring its proper maintenance and sustainability.
He explained that a conducive working environment was critical as it greatly impacts productivity and boosts the morale of officers in service delivery .
The Commissioner praised the state government’s dedication to modernizing critical transport infrastructure.
He noted that the project was executed on schedule and met all technical standards, reflecting the Ministry’s vision of excellence and accountability.
