Former president of the Nigeria Senate, Dr. Bukola Saraki, has told the people of Edo state tio monitor their votes and not allow the unfortunate happen. The results of the election have started trickling in from different units across the state.
The election was actually between the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party PDP) with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu and Governor Godwin Obaseki as candidates respectively.
Saraki’s reaction was made in a tweet on Saturday evening. He warned the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure the will of the people of Edo state.
He said the Edo election has entered the crucial stage, hence he urged Edo people not to be carried awy but to remain vigilant protect their votes.
Am already congratulating gov. Obaseki cos he actually deserves the 2nd term, tell any man you know that is very short and ugly that a man with an umbrella can’t lose both on d rain or sunshine
