There is fear and apprehension in the city of Onitsha, the commercial centre of Anambra statea as a truck loaded with cartons of live bullets fell into a ditch and scattered its content all over the ground.
The truck, a Mercedes Benz 911 model, was said to be conveying the goods out of Onitsha to an undisclosed location when the driver lost control and fell into a gutter.
Nigeria Tribune learnt that the incident which took place along Awka road happened on Sunday morning, May 9, 2021.
The driver and his conductor tried to hide the content of the truck but they could not do much before daybreak when the police operatives arrived at the accident scene.
The police arrested the driver instantly while his conductor escaped
