Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo state has finally resigned from the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor made the announcement on Tuesday after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja. That decision ends his stay in the APC.
The governor twitted immediately he met with Buhari in Abuja: “I have officially resigned my membership of the All Progressives Congress (@OfficialAPCNg) after meeting with the CoS to @MBuhari.”
We shall continue the battle to protect the interest of Edo people and sustain good governance in the state.
A few days back, he was with the governors of Rivers and Akwa Ibom states, Barrister Nyesom Wike and Emmanuel Udom respectively. They must have cemented plans on the way forward and how to crush APC in the Edo state election.
Certainly the South South governors will key into the project of winning thee Edo state election and recover the South South from the APC.
Adams Oshiomhole has been at loggerheads with the South South governors. Wining the state will be a big blow for the APC and Oshiomhole.
With the assistance of the South south governors of Ifeanyi Okowa, Wike, Udom, there is every certainty that the PDP will win the state for Obaseki.
