President of the Committee for the Defense of Human Rights (CDHR), Comrade Prince Kehinde Taiga, has said the Nigerian government of President Muhammedu Buhari has stylishly deceived Nigerians into increasing the price of fuel.

He said the government under the guise of bad fuel in the country and surreptitiously deceived the Nigerian people into increasing the price of premium motor spirit.

Speaking on phone with Emerald News, Taiga said the federal government has scammed Nigerians, hence he is giving the Nigerian government 14 days to revert fuel price to the old one, failure to do so within the stipulated period, Buhari should be ready to face the consequences.

Taiga told Emerald News that his CDHR will mobilise Nigerians across the states, using CDHR state chapters to mobilise four million Nigerians against the government of Buhari.

He said his group will match to all the filling stations and ground every activity until all filling stations return to the old price of fuel per litre.

Taiga said the action of the federal government was deceptive, saying it started with announcement of bad fuel, leading to fuel scarcity with long queues and ended up with fuel price hike.
