In the one year of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori under review, Delta State Environmental Taskforce led by Chief Godspower Asiuwhu, has made remarkable achievements. In achieving its objectives, it has collaborated with relevant government agencies with a view to enforcing compliance with environmental laws and policies applicable to the state.
The MORE Agenda of the state Governor, His EXCELLENCY RT. HON. (ELDER) SHERIFF OBOREVWORI, in line with the
one-year administration anniversary will be celebrated with substantial accomplishments. The environmental taskforce, since inception, has stamped its feet on the ground, with the aim of reviving Delta state’s environment, prioritizing cleanliness and safety of residents.
The Environmental Taskforce under the leadership of the chairman, Chief Godspower Asiuwhu (JP) in its determination to adequately discharge its functions in addressing environmental issues bordering on blockage of drainages and water channels, littering and indiscriminate dumpling of wastes including industrial wastes and toxins, carrying out activities that could improve neighborhood and enhance the environment, the Environmental Taskforce has put in place some strategies to achieve its development goals.
