Prince Ned Nwoko, the Delta North senator-elect, has stressed the need for the people of Anioma to support Rt.Hon.Sheriff Oborevwori, the Delta state People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate.
Nwoko made the call on Wednesday, 8 March, during a meeting with members of Ward 8, Aniocha North local government area.
According to him, though, he emerged victorious in the senatorial election, he cannot afford to work in isolation.
“It is bad enough that the federal level is already compromised. We cannot afford to let in same cabal into Delta state.
“Voting me as a senator, and then voting an APC governor, is like sending me to war with my hands tied behind my back. It will be impossible for me to fight for you.
“You have to help me to help you. Vote someone I can work with. Someone I can tender your problems to without having to pass through many unnecessary protocols,” Nwoko said.
Speaking further, he said, “Not voting APC is not just enough. We must ensure we block any act that may land them the opportunity to win.
“This is not the time to divide votes. This is the time to save Delta state, putting aside personal interests. Just as it happened at the federal level, any division of vote will work against PDP, thereby making it possible for APC to win.
“Saturday is just few days away, please, let us come out en-masse and vote PDP.
“If you want me to function effectively as a senator, you have to vote in someone I can work with.”
