There were heavy gunshots on Tuesday as workers in Kaduna state were seen protesting in the capital of Kaduna state.
As the workers led by the national president of the Nigerian Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba, protested in the capital city, the guns were going off the ground.
Police were seen everywhere in a video shared by Channels Television.
The workers were seen running helter skelter in a bid to escape from the gunshots being released by thugs the NLC president said were reportedly hired by the state government against the workers.
In a quick remark, while the shooting was ongoing, Waba said “today is a very sad day in the history of Nigeria’s democracy. Early morning we got credible information that El-Rufai has hired some thugs to attack us.
“I called DSS headquarters, I called DIG Operations, I also called state director of DSS, and gave them the information, while were here the thugs came but we chased them away. We have the number and we overpowered them.”
