His reign has engendered peace, unity in Asaba, Dr. Nwoko eulogises Asagba of Asaba @99

Dr. Michael Nwoko, former senior special assistant to erstwhile Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated the Asagba of Asaba, Obi (Prof) Chike Edozien on his 99th birthday anniversary.

Dr. Michael Nwoko, who is fondly called The Political Oshobe, in felicitating the 99-year-old Asagba of Asaba, said the monarch has helped in upholding the cultures of the Asaba people, making Asaba one of the most peaceful cities in Nigeria.

He said the reign of the traditional ruler has been a force in uniting Asaba people all over the country and the world in general., making Asaba one of the most peaceful cities in Nigeria.

According to him, due to his high education and exposure, he has carried out reforms that have found expression in the peace, unity and harmony that exist among the people of Asaba, the capital of Delta state.

He said despite his age, the monarch is still very vibrant, well exposed and with his vast knowledge he has been able to pilot the affairs of Asaba people, which has led to peace and unity among Asaba people.

He also said due to his influence, people from all walks of life are happily living in Asaba and carrying out their daily business without intimidation. He said the restiveness experienced in some parts of the country are not in Asaba.

He said the people of Asaba and by extension the entire Delta people are happy to have him as the monarch of the ancient city beside the Niger.

While wishing the monarch more years, he said his reign will continue to bring peace, unity, harmony and oneness among Asaba people and others living within his domain.
